ABOUT ME
I'm a music major at the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire, focusing on choral education. I grew up in Iowa City,
Iowa and was a 3 year All-State Chorus member out of West Senior High School. I've sung in a number of small ensembles;
primarily The Offbeats (male, Iowa City/Coralville) and Impromptu (mixed sextet, UWEC). While primarily a vocal arranger,
I have arranged for piano/vocal score, string quartet, and occasionally some band instruments. I love sharing the stuff
I work on and finding new music to arrange for different voices, e-mail me if you're interested in commissioning a work as
well, prices for that are usually around $20-25.
If you want to check other prices around the area, and shop around...here some other websites of collegiate arrangers.

I do not charge licensing or royaltee fees, because I do not own the licenses
to these songs. I perform a service to your group specifically with the expectation and agreement that you will purse the
paths to obtain legal licenses to use the songs. The legalities of acappella arranging, fair use, and "derivative works" are
confusing and potentially big money headaches, so it is important to give credit and compensation where it is due and ask
permission for use of someone else's artistic and intellectual property. By purchasing an arrangement from me, you are agreeing
to assume responsibility for any and all licensing or royaltee fees from the managment of the original artists and/or publishing
company.
Visit Kohn on Music Licensing for more information. The Harry Fox Agency is the first place to go for acquiring mechanical licenses. Try the ASCAP database or BMI's hyper-repertoire for performing rights information. If you're still not sure, talk to your school's or organization's legal department. Here is an article by Jonathan Minkoff about some legal issues in acappella arranging.
